Perk's for Jay

When Jay travels, we miss him and I would like to think that he misses us. I am sure he likes the break that traveling gives him from the chaos of working at home. Last week was the first time that he has traveled since November, and now that the snows are staring to melt, his travel schedule will be picking up. And it should, he is supposed to travel at least 60% of the time. It is something that I have grown accustomed to, Arabella on the other hand takes a little while to adjust to Daddy being gone.

We all benefit from Jay's traveling - he gets frequent flyer miles and racks up the hotel points for free stays. However, last week on his trip home from Nova Scotia he hit the jackpot. He flew Air Canada and was given a pass to the Maple Leaf Lounge. With this pass he had access to quiet away from the normal airport hustle. He had free internet access, TV access, newspapers, magazines...and this is where it gets good....2 beers on tap, assortment of liquors, white and red wines, soda, snacks...all self service and free of charge. He said that had he known it was going to be as good as it was, he would have left earlier so he had more time to spend in the lounge!

He also got a nice little surprise when he went to pick up his rental car...they were all out of "normal" cars so he got to drive around in this for a week. Pretty nice rental car, eh (as the Canadians say)???

Seriously, who gets to drive around in a Volvo rental car for business??

Tomorrow morning, he leaves bright and early to spend the week in Charlotte, North Carolina. I wonder what perks he will have this time...and if they are not as good as last week, at least he will have a break from the snow!!
