It's All About The...

SHOES!!

I am in love with the three new pairs of shoes that I bought recently, and, for all different reasons.

The first pair were the deal of the year - I purchased these Rachel Roy shoes at La Baie on sale for $65, they retail for $210. Seriously, how could I pass them up. And I am happy to report, that for as high as they are, they are really comfortable. I wore them with jeans to Creston's birthday party and now I can't wait to wear them on Saturday at Ashlee & Dustin's wedding.

These Michael Kors sandals are going to be my go to sandals for the Summer...

And I just think this last pair is so pretty. The colors make me happy!

Happy Easter

What a great Easter we had! After our wonderful brunch and a late nap yesterday afternoon for Arabella, we color eggs. She loved it! Seriously, she was so excited about dropping the tablets into the water and she was amazed at how the water turned into pink, blue, green, purple, yellow and orange. I just loved her wonder and then, when she put the eggs in and took them out and they were the color of the water was just priceless.

The Easter Bunny visited our house last night! He left Arabella and Jay baskets and even brought Arabella a basket from Uncle Mike and Uncle Jeff's house.

And the Easter Bunny heard Arabella's request that she put in to him last week. She was so sweet when she told me: "No candy Mommy, only chocolate"! It was the funniest thing, but I would rather have her eat chocolate than a bunch of jelly beans and other sweets anyday! So the Easter Bunny listened when she asked for just chocolate when he hid the eggs around the house...only chocolate and some money was hidden in the eggs. He sure was a sneaky bunny...he hid eggs inside and outside! Arabella had fun looking all over the house and then seeing what was inside the eggs. It was great!

Gotta love that the Easter Bunny brought a tooth brush!

After watching some of her new Curious George DVD, Arabella ventured out to water the flowers while Jay cleaned out his company car. I love these pictures of her!

Tonight, Arabella and Jay painted one of her Easter basket presents - a ladybug garden stone - she had loved it and did a great job!

We hope everyone had a beautiful and blessed Easter!

Family Easter Brunch at Cynthia & Seb's

I am so thankful for the group of friends that I/we have made here. Honestly, it feels like I/we have known them for much longer than the year or so that we have. And yesterday, we were blessed to have an early Easter Celebration Brunch at Cynthia & Seb's house. Even if the weather was rainy and dreary, inside we laughed, smiled, drank mimosas and ate delicious food. Arabella had a great time playing with Gigi, Christopher and all of the other kids as well. Thanks to Cynthia for being the Hostess with the Mostess and to Seb for doing jello shots with June and I! We had a great time and look forward to the next get together!

Earth Day

Friday was Earth Day and Mother Nature cooperated with us - it was beautiful, warm, sunny - we couldn't have asked for a nicer Friday to celebrate Earth Day and being the Easter weekend festivities!

This is a pretty cool picture Jay took...I love the tree's shadow!

We had a lunch and Easter egg hunt at Petite Gym in the afternoon. Arabella and all of her friends gathered to hunt for eggs. It was pandemonium with everyone running all over the gym in search of eggs! I have to say that Petite Gym did the hunt right. They had all of the kids find eggs and then bring them to a large bucket in the middle of the room. Once all of the eggs were collected, the staff sorted the eggs and at the end of the party each child received a bag with the same number of eggs along with their loot bag. There was no fighting over the eggs or the treats inside - just perfect! After the hunt, everyone enjoyed a class, some lunch and then a craft. It was great and all of the kids, including Arabella couldn't have been happier!

Later that afternoon, Arabella had swim class. A new session has begun and she is now in the same class as her friends Allyson and Giacomo. It is so cute to watch all three of them as they sit on the side of the pool during class. It is also wonderful to see how much they are all improving! Keep up the great work guys!

After swim lessons, we decided to spend a little time in the yard to enjoy the rest of Earth Day and before the rain came on Saturday. We had fun playing on the swing and just being outside after our busy day/week!

Thursday's Thoughts

Hearing: Arabella say "Too dangerous Mom" as I catch her climbing up the outside of the stairs. She did promptly get down when she knew I was watching.

Tasting: Tomato Pesto Soup with fresh Parmesan cheese and rosemary saltines. The perfect way to warm up on this cold, Spring day!

Seeing: Arabella grow up before my eyes. She HAD to push the cart at the grocery store today!

Smelling: The Green Tea & White Pear candle that I have burning in the kitchen. It is so crisp and clean smelling, it is the perfect spring scent.

Feeling: Happy when I look at the art projects from Arabella's art class. I love the Easter egg that she cut out all by herself and then decorated with tissue paper. So pretty!
