The Holidays are Coming

Last Friday, Jonna and I spent the day at the Jeffersonville outlets. We had so much fun. The main focus of our trip was to find a comfy chair for the master bedroom in our new place, and we found one at the Pottery Barn Outlet. I am so excited about it, it will make a nice relaxing place to read and enjoy the fireplace in our bedroom. Jonna liked it too, I was afraid she wasn't going to get out of it...

We spent about 2 hours in the Pottery Barn store and found some really cute things and also came up with some great ideas for decorating for Christmas. It is a good thing Arabella was not with us, there would have been no room for her on the way home

On Saturday, we took Arabella to visit Santa for the first time, she did better than we thought she would do. She didn't cry, but was not too sure what to make of Santa. Many thanks go to Jonna for picking out her green Christmas dress, I wasn't sure about the color at first, but she looks beautiful in it and it stands out nicely against Santa's red suit!

After our visit with Santa, we met up with the Shields/Penny clan for dinner at Abuelo's. It was very yummy and we all had a great time! Afterwards, we walked around Easton to enjoy the Christmas lights and decorations, they do such a beautiful job decorating and it really puts in you in the holiday spirit!

18 Month Well Baby Appointment

Today Arabella had her 18 month well baby checkup. She is doing great, however, she was not very happy after 3 immunizations and the H1N1 vaccine! She is 22 lbs, 3 oz and 31 1/2 inches long. Her head circumference, which I can't remember the actual number, is in the 95th percentile! Grow, little bean, grow! Dr. Ann is going to miss her, as will the nurses in the office, they were all sad to hear that we will be moving to Montreal. I hope that we can find a peditrician in Montreal that is as good and that we like as much as Dr. Ann.

Weekend Photos

This past week, I was able to get a few pairs of snow pants for Arabella since she is going to need them in Montreal. She didn't seem to mind them when she tried them on :)

She also helped Daddy fix the water pump on Mommy's car. They did a great job and it is all fixed.

Since we had such great weather we spent some time at the parks in our neighborhood. Arabella loves the park and has so much fun, it also tires her out and she takes a great nap which allows us to get things done around the house!

Here are a few cute shots I was also able to capture. Enjoy!

Photo Shoot

Just wanted to share one of the photos from the Photo Shoot that Arabella had with Melissa Jones. The photos came out great! We will be sending copies to family and friends. Hope you like this as much as we do!

Indian Summer in November

We had beautiful weather this weekend! It is has been in the 70s both days and it is the middle of November. I don't know who to thank - Mother Nature or global warming???

We had 2 showings on Saturday and 2 showings today and we have 2 scheduled for tomorrow. We are hoping for an offer soon! It would be so nice, that way I don't feel like I am constantly cleaning!!

Today during the showings, we went to the mall to let Arabella play in the play area, but she was more interested in going up and down the escalator. She held my hand and pretty quickly go the hang of it. She is even a pro at getting off at the top and bottom! I swear we went up and down at least 30 times, but at least it kept her busy while Jay was at the Verizon store. When it was time to go, she did not want to leave and wanted to keep on going.

She is also getting quite the vocabulary. She now says mama, daddy, teddy (for her favorite teddy bear from Uncle Mike), car, more, cacker (for cracker or cookie), granma (or something like it for Grandma), and there are others that I just can't remember now. She is also a pro at blowing kisses, it is the cutest thing. She will put her hand up to her mouth and then throw it away while saying "MUAH"!! It just melts my heart to see her do that.

This will be another busy week. Jay is traveling to Charlotte Tuesday and will be back on Friday night. So it will just be us girls. I still have a lot of organizing and cataloging of donations to do. I am also planning an outlet shopping trip with Jonna on Friday. We are both very excited and I am looking forward to using the Pottery Barn gift cards that I received as a going away present from the office at the Pottery Barn Outlet. I am hoping to find a really comfy chair for the reading/fire place area in our bedroom in the new house in Montreal.

Busy, Busy, Busy

This week has been very busy. It still has not set in that I am not working, it seems more like a vacation. I have been keeping busy running errands, cleaning and making sure the house is in tip top shape for showings. We put the house on the market on Monday afternoon and so far we have had 8 showings, and another is scheduled for tomorrow. There is a lot of interest and the showing tomorrow is someone who is coming back for a second look :) Hopefully, we will get an offer or two this weekend, so our fingers and toes are crossed! For those of you who have not had a chance to come and visit us in Dublin in the Great State of Ohio, I am attaching a few photos of the house.

This weekend is looking to be a busy one again. We have some yard work to get done and Jay is working on fixing the water pump in my car.

Arabella has had a good week. She has had to do some breathing treatments for the RSV she had a few weeks ago. She refused to sit still unless we have a video going for her, so far her favorite is The Adventures of Milo and Otis. She just loves watching the animals, it is too cute. Arabella is also becoming quite the helper, she loved to help bring in the bags from the grocery store, or any store for that matter, and then she helps take the items out. She also helped me sweep the floor this weekend. Let's hope she is this helpful when I am unpacking boxes in Montreal!!

Speaking of Montreal, our lease is all signed so we have the house with plenty of room for visitors. Yippee!! Some people are already making plans to come and visit us and we are already looking forward to that. As for the move to Montreal, we are driving the two cars and my brother will be joining us on the road trip. We are really looking forward to his company along the journey, as well as, having an extra set of hands to occupy Arabella during the 12 hours or so that we will be in the car.

Arabella's Photo Shoot

Arabella had the photo session she won from the Cutest Baby Contest. I really think the photos came out great and they will be in Melissa Jones' advertising campaign! Yeah for my Little Bean, mommy is so proud of you!

Let's Give This a Shot

There is a first time for everything. And this is definitely a first for me...a blog! I never thought I would have the time to do one, let alone look forward to keeping family and friends up to date on our family adventures. Here goes....

Things have been a little hectic here. This is my last week at work before the big move. Jay has been an traveling mad man and Arabella has bee going with the flow (like she always does)! We are getting the house ready to put on the market, so I have been frantically cleaning and organizing. It is such a great sense of accomplishment when the closet looks like a picture out of a magazine, let's hope it stays that way. I still need to polish the foyer floor, that is going to be a big job, and I am going to attempt to tackle it tomorrow night.

We did sign a lease on a beautiful home in Beaconsfield, a town outside of Montreal on the West Island. It is a great neighborhood and I think we will feel right at home there. The photos above are of the new place!

Last week Arabella had fun at her day care Halloween Party and trick-or-treating. She was the cutest little lady bug that I have ever seen :) I will get photos up soon.
