Santa Is On His Way

Arabella woke up so excited on Christmas Eve!  She couldn't wait to see what was behind the last door of her Advent House from Grammie...sure enough it was Santa!

Then she had a hard time finding Jack...and was a tiny bit afraid that he might have stayed at the North Pole, but eventually she found him hiding with Santa.  She was excited to receive a note and an early present from Jack...he had been listening because he got her a pair of ear muffs (and pj's)...something she has been asking for!

We made gingerbread cookies the day before and then frosted them after Arabella and I got home from church.  She had so much fun rolling out the cookies and was afraid they might try and escape from the oven like they did at school!

When Santa visited her class, he gave each child a bag of magic reindeer food.  After decorating the cookies, she had to put it outside...she couldn't wait and had to make sure that it was all along the back walk and driveway so the reindeer could see it!  It was so adorable!

She was so careful to put out Santa's cookie and milk!  It was the cutest thing ever.

We had received some gifts from Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Ricki and decided that she could open the gifts from them on Christmas Eve since if we were at their house that is when all the gifts are opened.  She also received a few gifts from one of my dear friends, Ivonne a/k/a Aunt Vivi which she also opened.  She had a lot of fun and was very excited when most of the gifts were crafts.  She loves to do crafts and they can keep her busy all day...something that we are going to need when the little guy arrives!  She also loved the handmade hat that Aunt Vivi had made made for her.  Thank you all for spoiling her!

Before long, it was time to get into bed.  Arabella and I read Twas the Night Before Christmas.  She told me she was going to listen for Santa's bells and the reindeer hooves on the roof.  It was so sweet.  Before long, she was sound asleep, with visions of sugar plums dancing in her head, I am sure!
