Go Habs Go!!

Last week, Jay got to attend a Habs (for those of you not familiar with hockey - the Montreal Canadiens) game with Hewitt Cat. He tried to play it off as if it wasn't a big deal - when it put it on the calendar he wrote "Dinner @ Bell Center". But really who goes to dinner at the Bell Center?? Last time I checked and was at the Bell Center, all I saw was a little cafe and I knew he wasn't going to dinner there! Let me just say, I was a little jealous that he was first off going to a game - I have been wanting to go to one but it is impossible to get tickets and if you can get tickets they are so EXPENSIVE! In any event, he wasn't just going to watch the game - he was going for dinner in a BOX! Seriously - so jealous - he isn't even a hockey fan! Not only did he get to watch the game, but he also had anything he wanted to drink, lamb chops (amongst other really yummy choices) and a dessert cart with so many sweets it was insane! He had a great time and enjoyed himself - and I am happy that he got to go! Arabella and I can't be the ones always having fun!

Happy Anniversary

It is hard to believe that 5 years ago, on a beautiful, warm, sunny, Autumn day, Jay and I got married! It is also hard to believe that it has been 5 years - I guess when you have been on an adventure like us, time flies when you are having fun. So far in 5 short years, we have lived in 2 different states and 2 different countries! I look forward to the net 5 years and seeing where it takes us!

I know I don't tell you often, but thank you for all the sacrifices that you make for Arabella and me. Without you, we would not have the life that we do and we are both thankful for that. You have allowed me to stay home with our daughter and go back to school and those 2 things are so important to me and our family. I know that sometimes things are not easy and we have our ups and downs, but I would like to think there have been many more ups than downs. You are a great dad and you provide more than Arabella and I need. I am so lucky to have found you and I love you very much.

Happy 5th Anniversary Jay! Here is to many, many more years and adventures together!

I love you!

Boys & Their Toys

I find it comical when Jay has something to say when I buy a new pair of shoes or a new purse. Sure I have my favorite brands...some more expensive than others. I like that I have a wide variety of "price points" in my closet as far as clothing, shoes, bags and other accessories. Don't get me wrong, I love my Coach and Kate Spade bags, my Michael Kors & Jessica Simpson shoes, but, I also love my Old Navy flip flops and tank tops and Target has some really cute pieces that I have added to my wardrobe. I love when I get a huge deal on a name brand item and I am not shy about shopping at the outlets or sample sales to score a great bargain. My husband on the other hand seems to have only very expensive taste when it comes to his "accessories". Let me introduce you to his latest purchase...

Yup, that is right, another car and another BMW...just look at that smile, he was so excited! (Kind of like when I found my Rachel Roy heels!)
Here it is, the BMW 745i Individual being unloaded off the truck from Toronto!

It was delivered on a Friday night and the next morning when I woke up, Jay was no where to be found...so I finally looked out side and sure enough, he was sitting in the car - just like a kid in a candy store. He told me he woke up at 5:30 and couldn't go back to sleep since he was so excited about it.
Arabella has been allowed to sit in the driver's seat!
He is so serious about his cars that he has a special lap top with BMW software on it that can "talk to the car"!
The day after it was delivered...still basking in the new car glow.
When I can't find him, I only have to go to the garage and there he is!

So this makes 3 personal cars at our house (plus the company car). I did make a request, that if he is going to go and purchase another BMW that we get something fun, like the 6 convertible, so at least I could have fund driving it! His newest toy has caused a little bit of tension in our house, since he went out and purchased it without any input from me, but I have gotten over it. He likes his toys as I like mine...so I think I get a pass on my next few purchase, don't you think???
