Our last Montreal moon on Friady night.
And the beautiful sunrise over the Lakeshore.
When Saturday, March 30th rolled around, I was ready...I had it in my mind to get on the road, before I was able to dig my heels in and stay in Montreal. Before leaving, I had one more important breakfast to have...Arabella and I met Bram for breakfast in our hotel. We couldn't leave without saying goodbye one last time. We were able to relax a bit and say goodbye without too many tears. Again, it wasn't easy for me to say goodbye to Bram...he has been such a great friend and we have had a ton of fun together. I really do miss him, but thank goodness for FaceTime!
After breakfast, we packed up the hotel room and the cars and hit the road.
We headed for the 20...
And then made our way South..
And before long, we were at the US Border in New York...
Customs was uneventful...thank goodness...and we continued on our way. I had no idea how hard it was going to be for me once we crossed the Border. I just started crying and couldn't stop. I felt at home in Montreal and if we could have stayed there, I would have been happy.
We stopped and had lunch with Nana near Albany, but were quickly back on the road heading to our next stop, Aunt Margo's house in Connecticut.
Yes, this sign says "Connecticut Welcomes You"...so we made it!
This is not a permant goodbye...I promise to be back Montreal. You will always have a special place in my heart.
