Painting Play Date

Last week, we had one of Arabella's friends from school come over for a play date. Ronald and his dad, Bram, joined us for a fun morning of crafts, painting and movies. Arabella loved having Ronald come and spend time at our house. They had so much fun and loved painting the best. We can't wait to do it again!

Slide, Slide, Slippity Slide

On Saturday, we had an impromptu playdate at Laura & Allyson's. It was perfect weather to set up the slip-n-slide and there was even a little hill in the yard that made the slide even more fun! The kids loved it! Although, after a little while, they complained that the water was too cold and wanted us to make it warmer - if only there was a way to make the hose deliver warm water!

And while the kids had fun, the Mom's enjoyed a nice, cold refreshing drink - frozen pina coladas - YUM!

More Beach Fun

Last Friday, we enjoyed one more playgroup at the beach before we broke for Summer break. Once again, it was a beautiful day on the beach, not too sunny, but warm. It was great to relax and see all the kids enjoying themselves. They played so hard and didn't want to leave when it was time to go home...we even stayed longer than normal. I am so lucky to have found such a great group of women that I have bonded with over the past year. And Arabella has such a great group of friends that I hope she will be friends with for a very long time. We are looking forward to spending a great Summer with great friends and more time at the beach!

Wordless Wednesday

Playgroup At The Yacht Club

The weather was beautiful on Friday, so instead of having playgroup inside, we took it to the beach at the Hudson Yacht Club. Once everything including the kitchen sink was packed up, we headed to the beach! Seriously, it is insane the amount of things you need to pack for a summer beach outing! I know realize how lucky I was to be able to spend my summers at the beach house...it was great just walk out the front door, cross the street and be at the beach! As soon as we got there, Arabella made a bee line for the water...she is such a little mermaid. It was great to be out in the sun, at the beach and just let the kids run and play all morning. We had lunch at the beach and then when they all started to meltdown from too much fun-in-the sun, we packed up and headed home for nap time! We are looking forward to more time at the beach this Summer!

Mom & Tot's Easter Egg Hunt & Brunch

Last Friday, our playgroup hosted an Easter egg hunt & brunch. It was a beautiful sunny morning, still a little crisp, but perfect for an egg hunt outside. All of the kids were so excited to find the eggs the the Easter Bunny had hidden in Carrie's yard. It was chaos to get out the door and then they could hardly wait to search for the eggs. As soon as they found eggs, everyone broke into them to see what treats the Easter Bunny left! Arabella loved it and was so excited that she found chocolate - her favorite! After the egg hunt, we all enjoyed a very yummy brunch! Everyone had a great time and it was the perfect way to kick off the beginning of our Easter parties! Thanks to Carrie and Cristina for hosting the event!

Friday Fun

Friday was a day full of fun. It started out with playgroup where all the kids had a great time playing and the mom's enjoyed June's famous lattes and great conversation. Our Friday morning playgroup is the perfect way to start the weekend.

When we got home, there were more Valentine's waiting for Arabella. One from Auntie Lori and a little Valentine package from Uncle Mike and Uncle Jeff. Arabella loves getting mail and had a lot of fun opening her Valentine's. She was very excited!!

After a quick nap, it was off to swim lessons and Arabella had a really fun time playing in the pool before her lessons. She had a pretty good lesson and she is making great progress. I can barely get her out of the pool at the end, she is such a water baby!

Fun With Noa and Victoria

On Friday and Saturday, Arabella and I had to fun play dates with Noa and her mommy, Victoria. We met them through the Wee Wiggles and we have had so much fun together already!! Arabella and Noa are just 2 months apart in age so they get along great. Victoria and I have a lot in common...particularly our fondness for Trader Joe's and Whole Foods! Victoria used to live in Boston so she understands what it is like to miss the comforts of the US!

We had a fun morning on Friday and then on Saturday morning, we took the girls to Fundomundo. They had a blast and it wore them out. I think Victoria and I were also worn out at the end since we got quite a workout from climbing all over the play gyms with the girls.





Arabella and I are looking forward to more fun play dates with Noa and Victoria!
