Being that it is still pretty warm here in the South, we waited to carve our pumpkins into Jack-o-Lanterns. We had fun carving them in the backyard - it is nice to be able to do it outside. It is perfect for clean up! We carved 3 pumpkins and they all came out great! I love the pattern that Arabella chose, an owl, of course. I carved most of it, but that is OK, she was thrilled with it. Jay did his and Max's pumpkins. Arabella and Max couldn't wait until it was dark enough to light them. Halloween is almost here and we can't wait!

Random October...
Since I am trying to get caught up, in October:
Max perfected the art of "lounging"! Seriously, how cute is this kid???
I received beautiful flowers for my birthday!
Dined al fresco!
Arabella built a Haunted House at the October Lowes Build-n-Grow.
Arabella went to her friend's, Payton & Maya's Frozen Birthday Party!
We visited with our backyard frog friend...
We spent more time enjoying the backyard and the warm sunshine!

Queen City Helicopter Tour
Last Christmas, Jay gave me a gift certificate for a helicopter tour over Charlotte. We had to reschedule more times than I can count because of weather or schedule conflicts but we finally managed to take the tour yesterday when it was beautiful and sunny! The last time we did a helicopter tour was on our honeymoon in Hawaii. And while that helicopter tour was amazing, this one was just as good. It is always fun to see the city you live in from a different perspective. Charlotte looks big when you are diving by but from a birds-eye view, it actually seems small. It wasn't a long tour, but we still had fun and I forgot how much I love flying in helicopters! Thanks for the great gift Jay - I am glad we were finally able to make the ride happen!
Bank of America - Panther's Stadium!
Nascar!
Our ride!
And on the way out of the airport, we saw Michael Jordan's private jet!

Here Comes Halloween
In our house, you know that Halloween is just a few days away when the ghost and pumpkin blow-up goes in the front yard! Arabella loves it and Max isn't too sure just yet. We put this up in your memory Uncle Bill.

Family Visit With Dennis, Ricki & Kraig
We had a fun family visit with Grandpa Dennis, Grandma Ricki & Uncle Kraig! It had been almost 3 years since we had seen Kraig and we were happy that he flew in from California to spend time with us.
We spent time at home hanging out and enjoying the perfect weather. We visited the local farmer's market, played badminton and did a bit of Halloween decorating. It was a fun weekend and we are so glad that you came for a visit! We hope you all come back soon!

Catching Up
I finally feel like I can do bit of catch up with the blog. I know I have been slacking and there is a ton and I mean a TON of things to write about. So if you are interested in seeing what we have been doing since June, you are going to have to look back since I will be posting them in date order.
So here I go...it may take a few days, but I am determined to be caught up by the end of this week!
