Boy how time is flying by! I can't believe that Max has already passed the 6 month mark. He is such a great baby. Always smiling and happy...unless he is tired. He is loving his solid foods - peas, carrots and sweet potatoes. He has moved on from rice cereal to the next level which is a blend of oats, quinoa and amaranth and he loves it. He also loves big sister and she loves him. You can just see it when she walks into the room or hears her voice. We are so happy that you are our little boy Maxton! Mommy loves you so very much!

Max's 6 Month Drs. Appointment
Max had his 6 month appointment on Friday and he is doing great! His doctor is impressed with how strong and alert he is. He is right on target for all the 6 month milestones. He is up to 16 pounds 5 ounces and is 26 1/2 inches long. Keep on growing Max!!!

4th of July Photo Shoot
This morning, in torrential rain, I took Arabella and Max to have some photos done. I wanted to have photos taken of Max for his 6 month birthday and decided to tie in with 4th of July. I also knew that Arabella would want to be in the pictures so this was a good way to do it. I decided to go the inexpensive route and go to a local place call Portrait Innovations. I was mildly surprised. They did a pretty good job considering you pick your photos right then and there and then you leave with them in 20 minutes. That was a bonus for me...that way I don't have to schlep back with both kids to just pick up pictures.
I found really cute and inexpensive 4th of July outfits for both of them. Arabella was so excited to get "fancy" and then have pictures taken with Max. I am really happy with the way the pictures turned out and it was a fun way to spend a rainy SUMMER morning!
Happy early 4th of July!!

Happy Canada Day!!
July 1st is Canada Day...today is the 146th Birthday of Canada. I am sad that we are not in Canada to celebrate with our friends. I hear we missed out on another great Canada Day bash at June & mike's yesterday. On the flip side, all my girlfriends were there and they surprised me with a conference call with everyone. I loved "talking nonsense" (Sheila's words) with them. It was wonderful and sad at the same time. I never realized how much I missed them until I actually heard all their voices in the same room together. In a nutshell...moving sucks!
Since we now have an "Americanadian" on our hands with Max, we decided to get dressed up in our Canada garb and "celebrate" the holiday. Here's to Canada!

Ready for Guests
I am so happy - our guest room is finally together and ready to accept anyone who wants to come visit us!!
My Big Helper
Arabella loves to help with Max. Sometimes she even calls him "her baby"...such a sweet and loving big sister. She has been helping me feed him his solid foods. I hate to admit, but sometimes she is better at getting him to eat than I am - he loves to watch her and will just smile away. I am so lucky and blessed with these two beautiful children.
