Fun In The Florida Sun - Part 4 - Epcot

On Arabella's birthday we went to Epcot.  We would have rather done Disney on her actual birthday, but the only restaurant that I was able to book a character lunch at was in Epcot.  Nevertheless, we had a great time, but Epcot is geared more towards older kids rather than a 5 year old.  We all had a fun time traveling through spaceship earth and then exploring the rest of Epcot as we dodged raindrops.

Spaceship Earth hasn't changed much since the last time I visited in 1988.  Even so, it is still a pretty neat journey through time and into the future.  Arabella really liked it and we all had a fun time on the low key ride.

The garden show (or whatever they call it there) had just happened so they had really pretty sculptures and tons of beautiful blooming flowers all over the place.

The one fun thing about Epcot is that you can "visit" different countries throughout the park.  And here is where the park being geared towards adults and older kids comes in...there are not many rides...so you just eat, drink and shop your way through the park.

We saw Mexico...

And Norway...

And China...

And Germany...

And Italy...

And Japan...

And France...

And the United Kingdom...

And last but not least, Canada...

Fun In The Florida Sun - Part 3 - Family & Pool Time

We took full advantage of spending time with family.  I can't say enough how nice it was to be together in such a fun and relaxing place.  Arabella loved being with her uncles and Grammie.  And they loved it too.  Everyone took turns doting on Max and helping out.

Arabella and Uncle Mike had fun relaxing on the couch and making cookies...

Even Uncle Jeff had fun snoozing with Max and Arabella...

And we spent a lot of time at the pool on our days off from Disney.  It was perfect to just hang out at the pool and enjoy it!!

And there was even more pool time!!!

Happy Father's Day

We had a low key Sunday for Father's Day and sometimes those are the best days.  We are so very thankful for Jay and for all her does for our family.  We are very lucky.  He is a great dad to Arabella and Max.  On any given night after dinner (so long as he is not traveling) he can be found playing whatever game that Arabella wants to play and he helps put her to bed at night.  She loves him so much.  Jay and Max are working on their groove, but that is to be expected...Max is a mama's baby boy, but when I have reached my limit with fussiness or need a bit of a break at night, Jay pitches in to help with him.  We hope you know how much you mean to us and we love you very much.  We hope you enjoyed your day.  Happy Father's Day!

And I'd also like to thank my dad for all he does and has done for me growing up.  You are a wonderful grandfather to Arabella and Max.  We wish we could be closer to you and miss you so much.  I love you Dad.  Thank you and Happy Father's Day.

Last Day of Preschool

This is such a bittersweet day.  It is Arabella's last day of preschool.  She is ready in every way possible to start kindergarten, but I wish I could keep her little for a bit longer.  She is growing up so very fast before my eyes.  I just can't believe it.  I also wish that she was able to finish out preschool at Magic Circle with her friends in Montreal.  She was such a part of that class and she misses her teachers, the program and her friends so much.  Don't get me wrong, her school her is good and her new teachers great, but it is just not the same.  I think we are both a little bit sad about it, but there is not much we can do about the changes we have to go through sometimes.

She was very excited to be going to her last day today.  And even more excited that Jay got home last night while she was sleeping so he could drop her off this morning.  I hope you are having a fun filled day at school Arabella.  Please stay curious about everything around you.  I hope you never lose your sense of wonder and that your thirst for learning stays strong.  I know you will do amazing in kindergarten.  You make me so proud.  I love you so very much and can't wait to have a fun filled Summer with you!

I can't believe how much you have grown and changed since September!
