Grammie's Here!
Grammie a/k/a Mom flew into Montreal on Tuesday afternoon! Arabella was so excited to go to the airport and wait for her to get through customs. She kept asking, "Grammie here?", it was the most adorable thing. She was happy to see her when she came through the doors and went over to her and gave her a great big hug!

We have been having a fun time and Grammie and Arabella have been playing, reading and working in the yard pulling weeds. The first night, Grammie read Arabella her bed time stories and she feel asleep in her arms, I had to go and help get her and put her in her crib since Grammie couldn't move! I just love how much fun they are having together. Right now as I type, Arabella is jumping and giggling on Grammie's bed!

Princess And The Pea
Lately, Arabella has been asking for a pillow when she takes a nap or goes to sleep at night. I am not sure why she has been asking for it. Maybe it is because she is seeing us sleep with pillows or when we read on the floor we lay on a bunch of pillows. Anyway, when I have gone to check on her during her naps this week, this is what I see:

She climbs out of her crib and then must throw all the pillows in and then she falls asleep on them. Doesn't look to comfortable to me but she seems to like it!

Swim Lessons
Session 3 of Arabella's swim lessons began this week and she is now in the Paddler's class! She has been doing so well swimming and she is still loving the pool which is great. I love seeing how excited she gets when we get to the pool and she smiles the whole class. Today they worked on blowing bubbles and kicking. Way to go Arabella, keep up the good work!

After swim lessons, we went over to the baby pool, where she played with a few of her friends. She also enjoyed playing with a Canadian flag that she found. On the way home she wanted to walk instead of riding in the stroller and along the way, she picked some flowers.

Hike and Trail Running With Karine

Today Arabella and I had a great day! We traveled to St. Bruno to meet with Karine, my health coach for one of my sessions and a hike up Mont St. Bruno. Arabella stayed with Karine's mom, Carmen, while Karine and I hiked/trail ran. Arabella had a wonderful time and didn't even ask for me once. She and Carmen colored, danced, played the piano, had snacks and much more! She had some much fun and was so tired she feel asleep on the way home. Thank you Carmen for watching her so that Karine and I were able to take the hike.
As for the hike, it turned into a hike and trail running, which I never thought I would be able to do, but I did! It helped that Karine, who I have nicknamed my own personal Jillian Michaels, motivated me and pushed me along. I would have never been able to do it without her. And who would have that that I actually like trail running, it is so much better than road running, and the scenery was beautiful! The weather for our workout was just right, a little cloudy, although it was a little humid. But we made it though all 8.8 kilometers (approx 5.5 miles) in under 2 hours!
Yes, that is me, trail running!
I had so much fun with Karine today. It was a great session and I am ready to tackle the month of August! She is such an beautiful, inspiring, caring, motivating, incredible woman and I am so blessed to have found her. She is not only my health coach but a supportive friend who is taking this journey into health and wellness with me. I don't think I would have made it this far or through the past few months if I didn't have her supporting and standing by me. Thank you Karine!!

Summer Sunday
Today was a perfect day all around! The weather was amazing, we had a productive and fun day. We worked in the yard and pulled weeds in the flower beds.
Then we hit the pool for some swimming. Arabella got to try out her new arm swimmies (I am not a huge fan of them, but they are better than the swim bubble we had earlier in the Summer.) The swimmies really helped her and she loves to be independent in the water. She also showed Jay her new tricks that she has learned in her lessons.

Arabella wore herself out and was down for the count as soon as her head hit the crib. While she slept, I was able to get a yoga class in (it was a tough class but such a great workout) and Jay did some projects on his car. Then before dinner, Jay and Arabella picked cherry tomatoes and ate them right off the plant, YUM!
