Just call me a slacker....it has been WAY TOO LONG since I last updated. I feel like I am missing out on memories for Max and Arabella. So I will be back at. I will be catching up from the past 2 years - seriously - how did I let it get this far behind?!?!?
We have done so much, grown way more than I like to admit and it's high time I get caught up. So say tuned - more to come - ASAP!

Caught You
The weather had warmed up a bit and we had a bit of rain. Max loves to be outside and I just couldn't keep him in. He had kept busy playing and jumping in the water that was on Arabella's tumbling mat this morning. He was adorable. I love you Max!

February Randomness
We had a fun February. And like January, the month seemed to go by pretty darn fast! Why is that happening? I'm not sure, but I wish the months would slow down!
Grampie and Heather surprised Max and Arabella with some Valentine's Day surprises!
Someone little guy was very excited to get into the chocolate!
Arabella received a special Valentine from a fellow preemie who is her age but can't go to a traditional school. She also sent a Valentine to Evan and was so excited to receive his!
She also exchanged Valentine's at school. Check out this loot!
She had a sleepover with Chaselyn! They had fun watching movies and baked cookies!
And this might be TMI...but we found a ton...and I mean a ton...of rabbit poop in the backyard! Have you ever seen so much???

Spirit Solutions - Cheer Competition
Were were back at Cabarrus Arena again this morning for another cheer competition...just not as early. The girls were super excited again and gave it all they had. Their hard work is paying off and they came in 3rd place which was great. Their routine was clean and they hit things on time. Great job girls! I am super proud of you Arabella. Go Team Zing!
Sassy girls - Arabella & Elena!
Stretching it out!
Super cute treats for the girls!

Snow Day - Take 2!
So a week ago, was the first "snow" day and they hyped up this storm too. At least when we woke up this morning, there was snow on the ground. It was actually still snowing a bit when we woke up. We were able to sleep in and didn't have to get the call early this morning since they called for the snow day yesterday...so silly in my book...even before there was any precipitation.
Arabella and Max were happy to finally see the real white stuff this round. It was so cute to see the wonder and joy in their expressions.
They tried so hard to build a snowman and make snow angels. And Max wanted to push the snow with this track-type tractor, but it didn't work to good.
At least we were able to get out and play in a bit of snow. We have to take what we can get...right???

Father-Daughter Sweetheart Dance
Tonight Jay and Arabella attended the Father-Daughter Sweetheart Dance at her school. She was so excited to get dressed up fancy and go out with Jay. They both had a fun time at the dance. Arabella loved dancing and being silly with her friends. It is nice that her school does this. In high school, we used to have a father-daughter dance and I remember it fondly. We always had a great time and I am glad that Arabella will have some of the same memories that I will of these dances.

SNOW DAY!!
For a few days now, the news has been hyping up this snow and icy weather that we woke up to this morning. We were supposed to get a lot more than we did - and there is more on the way - or so they say...
Nevertheless, Arabella and Max were excited. Arabella was thrilled to have another day off from school. You could tell that she liked the "snow" that we received but was a bit disappointed. Everything was covered in an icy film. And who wouldn't be? I mean we are so used to getting a ton, and I mean a ton, of snow. We were spoiled with true winter when we lived in Montreal. So this weather is a bit disappointing, even for me. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the next round of winter weather is a bit more promising. Max liked exploring in it and I have a feeling, that he would love the real white stuff!
Max wanted to know what happened to his Cozy Coupe!
It was pretty to look. I like the way that ice shines in the light and how it just sparkles. It was funny to see that the neighborhood was deserted. We had to get out to check things out, so we bundled up in our winter gear, that I refuse to get rid of, and went for a walk.
We were the only ones out. It was so quiet and we loved it. Max and Arabella had a great time checking out everything. They had fun trying to break the ice. As soon as the sun started to peek out of the clouds, the ice very quickly melted, even though it was still cold out.
After our walk, we warmed up inside and kept busy. We made yummy muffins and had a fun relaxing afternoon.
This weather really makes me miss Montreal. I really miss our winters and all the fun we had.
