Uncle Mike and Arabella
Uncle Mike flew up to make the drive with us more fun! Arabella has so much fun with him and has now learned to say "Mike". It sounds more like "Mic" but that is OK, we know who she is talking about. As soon as Uncle Mike is around, she barely wants anything to do with me or Jay. It was nice to have him around and to help keep her occupied while we finished up last minute things before the long road trip that lay ahead.

Boxes, Boxes Everywhere!!
The movers arrived bright and early on Tuesday, December 8th! Once at the house, they prepped the floors and got right to business. At the end of the day, we ended up with boxes, boxes everywhere!!
The finished packing and then loaded everything up on Wednesday. It was a fast job!
There is something unsettling about giving over control of all your wordly possessions to someone you barely know and then trusting that they will make it safely back to you at your new destination.

Final Weekend in Dublin
Arabella helped Jay put the snow tires on my car. They are required to be on all vehicles in Canada from November 1st to April 1st. She had so much fun and just laughed and laughed while she was helping him! She loves to be with her Dad and help him anytime she can.
During a showing of our house, we took a drive to the nature preserve at the end of our street. It was a little chilly, but it was nice to get some fresh air and see the scenery without leaves. It gives you such a different perspective of nature.
This weekend we also got to go to Christmas parties! Arabella got dressed up and went to a St. Nick party with Auntie Jonna, John, Ashlee, Dustin, Mal and Brad at Brad's parents house. She had so much fun and looked so cute dressed in her holiday best!
That same evening, Jay and I went to his office Christmas party/Going Away party. It was held at The Muirfield Golf Course and was a lot of fun. Jay was roasted by his fellow co-workers, so there were a bunch of laughs. It was also a going away party for another co-worker of his who is moving back to Australia.
Needless to say, we had a good and busy weekend!

It has been way too long since my last post, and I promise to not go so long again between postings! We have been so busy with packing up Tullymore, visiting the Christmas Story House, traveling with Uncle Mike, getting through customs, obtaining our Visa's, unpacking the new house and celebrating Christmas!
I am not sure where to start and instead of having one very long post, I think I will break them up for our readers, it will be easier that way!
One of the hardest things about moving from Ohio was having to say good-bye to Arabella's amazing teachers at Joyland. They have been wonderful to her and she has learned so much and has enjoyed every day there...or so it seems. There were times when I would pick her up and she would cry because she would want to stay with Miss Missy and the rest of the kids in her class. Her teachers and the staff were so caring, understanding and compassionate and it will be hard to replace them. We will miss them dearly.

Another perk of moving and being home from work was having Jonna come over for lunch. Arabella enjoyed it a lot! They watched Benji, her favorite movie, did somersaults and played in the random kitchen drawer. We also got to see Auntie Jonna's new car!

The Holidays are Coming
Last Friday, Jonna and I spent the day at the Jeffersonville outlets. We had so much fun. The main focus of our trip was to find a comfy chair for the master bedroom in our new place, and we found one at the Pottery Barn Outlet. I am so excited about it, it will make a nice relaxing place to read and enjoy the fireplace in our bedroom. Jonna liked it too, I was afraid she wasn't going to get out of it...
We spent about 2 hours in the Pottery Barn store and found some really cute things and also came up with some great ideas for decorating for Christmas. It is a good thing Arabella was not with us, there would have been no room for her on the way home
On Saturday, we took Arabella to visit Santa for the first time, she did better than we thought she would do. She didn't cry, but was not too sure what to make of Santa. Many thanks go to Jonna for picking out her green Christmas dress, I wasn't sure about the color at first, but she looks beautiful in it and it stands out nicely against Santa's red suit!
After our visit with Santa, we met up with the Shields/Penny clan for dinner at Abuelo's. It was very yummy and we all had a great time! Afterwards, we walked around Easton to enjoy the Christmas lights and decorations, they do such a beautiful job decorating and it really puts in you in the holiday spirit!

18 Month Well Baby Appointment
Today Arabella had her 18 month well baby checkup. She is doing great, however, she was not very happy after 3 immunizations and the H1N1 vaccine! She is 22 lbs, 3 oz and 31 1/2 inches long. Her head circumference, which I can't remember the actual number, is in the 95th percentile! Grow, little bean, grow! Dr. Ann is going to miss her, as will the nurses in the office, they were all sad to hear that we will be moving to Montreal. I hope that we can find a peditrician in Montreal that is as good and that we like as much as Dr. Ann.
