SNOW DAY!!

For a few days now, the news has been hyping up this snow and icy weather that we woke up to this morning.  We were supposed to get a lot more than we did - and there is more on the way - or so they say...

Nevertheless, Arabella and Max were excited.  Arabella was thrilled to have another day off from school.  You could tell that she liked the "snow" that we received but was a bit disappointed.  Everything was covered in an icy film.  And who wouldn't be?  I mean we are so used to getting a ton, and I mean a ton, of snow.  We were spoiled with true winter when we lived in Montreal.  So this weather is a bit disappointing, even for me.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that the next round of winter weather is a bit more promising.  Max liked exploring in it and I have a feeling, that he would love the real white stuff!

Max wanted to know what happened to his Cozy Coupe!

It was pretty to look.  I like the way that ice shines in the light and how it just sparkles.  It was funny to see that the neighborhood was deserted.  We had to get out to check things out, so we bundled up in our winter gear, that I refuse to get rid of, and went for a walk.

We were the only ones out.  It was so quiet and we loved it.  Max and Arabella had a great time checking out everything.  They had fun trying to break the ice.  As soon as the sun started to peek out of the clouds, the ice very quickly melted, even though it was still cold out.

After our walk, we warmed up inside and kept busy.  We made yummy muffins and had a fun relaxing afternoon.

This weather really makes me miss Montreal.  I really miss our winters and all the fun we had.

Happy Valentine's Day

I love how excited Arabella and now Max get for each holidau!  It can be the smallest thing about the day and they are full of joy.  Today was no different.  They were both super excited for Valentine's Day.

Jack paid them a visit from the North Pole!  They couldn't believe it!

Arabella made each of us, including Max a special, heart felt Valentine.  It was so sweet.

And when I got home from boot camp class, I received my gift...funny...I can't even eat it being that I am on the Whole30 and dairy, sugar, etc is totally off limits for this Spartan Race training!  So into the deep freeze the Jeni's will go until I am ready to enjoy it...probably sometime this summer.

Arabella loved her treats too!  I love the look of happiness on her face.

Happy Valentine's Day!  I had a great day spending it with those that I love!

Boosterthon Fun Run

Today was the Boosterthon Fun Run at school for Arabella.  The past week, she has been learning lessons and raising money for her school.  The Boosterthon culminates with a run in the parking lot.  The kids raise money for each lap they run.  Arabella loves it and they all have a ton of fun.  It was nice enough...in February....to not have to be bundled up or wear coats!  It still blows my mind!

Arabella ran all 35 laps and then some.  We had a fun morning watching her fun and Max even wanted to get out there with her!

Encore Cheer Championship

Exhausted!  That is how we feel after today's cheer competition.  It was at the Cabarras Arena, which isn't too far away, but we had a very early show time...we had to leave the house before 7 am!

They girls were super excited - can you tell?!?!?

Arabella and Elena - Cheer BFF's!!!

Team Zing did great!  They had a fun time and this was a big competition.  The girls are growing and improving with each competition.  And that is all we ask!  Keep it up Team Zing!

She also hit her Bow & Arrow and the photographer was able to capture it!  Looks perfect to me!

Arabella has been helping out with the special needs team at the gym - Team Bounce.  She loves it and has so much fun when she is with the team.  She is such a helper and compassionate little girl.  This is the first competition where they competed and Arabella was thrilled to be there on the floor with the team.

She is partially hidden in the picture, but she is there!

Seriously

I can't make this stuff up.  Max was riding his scooter around the house and I left the room.  When I cam back, I found this...

I'm not sure what he was going to do, but he was sitting on the scooter and it was on top of the ottoman...

Crazy Kids

Last month, I started to clean out and organize the closet in our bonus room that is a catch all for craft supplies, toys and books.  I decided that enough was enough and it was time to get it under control.  Today as I was organizing, the kids found a bin full of wrapping ribbon and had fun!  They were so silly - wrapping each other up and yelling surprise!

One bonus of letting them play with it and make a mess...I didn't have to organize it, I just dumped it in the garbage when they were done!
