We found these really fun "pump rockets" on clearance at Kroger one afternoon. It was an inexpensive way to spend the afternoon. Arabella and Uncle Mike shot the rockets up high and at each other. Maxton even got in on the fun - very quickly, he learned what to do and wasted no time shooting them. I loved seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter. It was perfect!

Ohio Summer Fun - Max's Discovery
One afternoon at the playground, Maxton got very excited. He was crouching down low to look at something and he kept pointing, trying to talk and tell us what he was seeing. It was an interesting sight as we couldn't figure out what he was seeing.
I asked him to take me to what he saw, and very quietly and carefully, he walked towards the stairs of the playscape. He crouched down and this is what we saw nestled under the stairs...
Three baby bunnies, all sung in their nest. It is a perfect hiding spot for them to grow. Not many people would notice it as it was hidden very well, but it was at the perfect line of sight for Maxton. We got close, but not too close and didn't touch them. Arabella was amazed by them, she is such an animal lover.
After finding them, we went home and did some research to find out more about them. And every day, a few times a day, we would go and check on them to make sure they were still safe. We noticed that the nest would be fixed around them so we knew that the mommy bunny was visiting and feeding them. They kept growing and on our last day, before we drove home, when we went to check on them, they were gone.
Max was curious as to where they had gone. So we started looking and they were hiding in the grass outside of the play area, making their way towards where we had seen another bunny, most likely the mother.
Uncle Mike has been keeping us updated on them - they are often seen in his backyard playing. We are so happy we were able to watch these little bunnies grow and leave the nest.

Ohio Summer Fun - Everything Else...
We went to the park...
We took time to smell the flowers...
Gave Uncle Mike standing massages...
Max found the water and of course played in it...
Took in some pretty sunsets...
Took some family pictures...
Photo-bombed by Max!
And tried to figure out if the figure on the sign is a boy or an elf...

Ohio Summer Fun - Dog Walks
Arabella has been helping Uncle Mike walk Macy and Rocco for years now. Rocco is so good with her and sometimes listens to her better than Uncle Mike. And now that Max wants to do exactly what Arabella does, he had to help with the dog walks. He was able to walk Macy and she was so good with him.
Arabella came up with a unique way of walking Rocco. They just laughed and giggled and he pulled them right along just like a sled dog!
And I love this sweet picture of Max and Uncle Mike walking Rocco. These kids sure do love their uncles.

Sign of Autumn
I found these itty, bitty leaves on a walk this afternoon with my brother.
Maybe Autumn is on the way...at least in Central Ohio...
