I think some of our favorite memories of this trip are from the Hudson Yacht Club. The kids love playing on the beach and in the water and the adults can relax on the beach. Arabella and Max love the beach so they were in heaven. They had so much fun playing with Cristina and Gigi. I loved being able to spend more time with Carrie and Cynthia. It was hard to leave the yacht club and we were there until sunset...having to drag the kids to the cars...sometimes while they were melting down. In the end, the meltdowns were worth it.

Summer In Montreal - Silly Girls
One evening, we went out to dinner and Arabella and Cristina were being so silly. You would never guess from these pictures that in the past they had a hard time getting along. (I guess that is what happens when you have 2 very head strong little girls!) This trip they had a ton of fun playing at the yacht club and hanging out. I love these pictures - pure joy and friendship! They both were crying their eyes out when we had to leave.
Summer In Montreal - Relaxing Dinner With Seb, C and Gigi
We were invited to have dinner at Chez Weiner one evening. It was super relaxed and we had a wonderful time. Arabella and Gigi were able to hang out and have some time with each other with minor interruptions from Max. Jay and I had fun catching up with Seb and Cynthia - Nonno, Cynthia's Dad even stopped by to see us. It was such a great evening. Seb cooked an perfect meal. I miss meals like this so much - honestly these are some of the best memories. Nothing to crazy - just spending time with friends, enjoying wine and laughter.
Summer In Montreal - Arabella & Jack
Arabella and Jack loved each other. They met in preschool at Magic Circle and instantly got along. They had so much fun playing at the pool, on the playground, in the snow and in class. They have even written letters to each other and they remember each other's birthdays. It is so sweet. Jack's mom, Nat, wrote me an email and told me about a time when Jack was asked who his girlfriend was (months after we moved) and his response, "I guess Arabella"...seriously, how sweet is that?!?!?! They loved being able to spend a rainy afternoon hanging out - it was also nice to catch up with Nat. Thanks so much for inviting us to spend the afternoon - Arabella would have been so very sad if she wasn't able to see Jack.
Summer In Montreal - Arabella & Emily
Arabella was thrilled to be able to spend time with Emily. (Arabella was lucky in that she was able to spend a huge block of time with Emily over 2 days!) She looks up to Emily and always had so much fun when Emily babysat her. We miss not having Emily across the street from us and it has been hard to find a replacement for her, if that is even possible! We had lunch at a vegan restaurant right around the corner from our old house, Arabella and Em swam and practiced tumbling. I even spent time with Louise, Emily's mom, catching up on the neighborhood news! Thanks for spending time with Arabella, she was so happy and misses you so much!
Saying goodbye was so hard for Arabella, it broke my heart.

Summer in Montreal - Arabella's Breakfast
One morning we went out to breakfast. Again, I forgot how yummy the food is and how much you actually get. Arabella was in heaven with this breakfast...
Waffles with creme fraiche, dark chocolate sauce and crushed up chocolate cookies!
