We spent a lot of time outside and with friends. Sometimes we were in the pool, other times, the park, and other times the splash pad. It was so good to be around the people we missed. When friendships are easy, you know that they are the right ones to have.
We spent one afternoon hanging out at Laura's pool. Laughter filled the air and there was nothing else we needed!
Jay and Arabella met up with Jonathan and Chloe one afternoon at the Pine Beach Splash Pad. The girls had a blast while Jay and Jonathan caught up.
Many hours were spent by Ryan, Arabella and Christopher on the swing set. Max even played too!
We had a play-date with Parker, one of Arabella's preschool classmates! Ethan, his older brother joined in and Max got to play with Asher, who was born about 6 weeks after Max. No doubt they would have beeb playmates as they lived a few houses down from us on Sherwood. They had so much fun!
Silly kids...taking imaginary selfies!
Our trip wouldn't have been complete without an afternoon spent at Zig Zag Zoo! I miss that place. The kids ran around and had a blast while Laura, June and I got time to catch up and just gossip like we used to.
Just when I thought my Zig Zag Zoo climbing days were over....
One afternoon, we packed a few snacks and walked to the Bedard Park Splash Pad down the street from June's. They climbed, swung and splashed until they were worn out!

Summer in Montreal - Randomness...
We did so much to keep busy that the time in Montreal flew by! I loved being back where I am comfortable and surrounded by friends (who are more like family).
I can't figure out how to title these pictures, so a random post it is.
Max trying to open a bottle of beer, but he didn't succeed.
Seriously, these two, Arabella and Christopher, were so sweet. They just stopped and picked June and I flowers on a walk.
Jay and Max were put to work fixing up June's car!
How we do mimosas and breakfast at Chez June! Yes, June, you are the only one that could pull this off!
I'm not a beer drinker, but this one was palatable. It was spicy - there was a jalapeno in the bottle, just my type of thing!
Oh how I miss seeing signs in French and the car dials in Celsius!
And I had to have a Tim's!
And it was nice to see the gas price like this...however, it isn't that great of a deal as the price is per liter...

Summer In Montreal - Canada Day Bash
Our trip to Montreal, wouldn't have been complete if we did not attend June and Mike's Annual Canada Day Bash! This party is always so much fun - there is swimming, laughter, food and more. The kids love being in the water and it was nice to just be able to hang out and catch up with friends. And we had to make sure to celebrate for our little AmeriCanadian Max!
It was hard to keep the kids out of the pool! Seriously, they are all little fish and spent hours in the water!
Even the big kids had fun in the water!
Max wanted to be like the big kids and tried his hand at jumping off the diving board!
We all had fun making smores!
And what would a party be without the kids group picture...all of them are in it with the exception of Max who was sound asleep!
Cynthia even tried her hand at a Pinterest recipe...smores in a mini ice cream cone...yummy and without the mess!

Bonjour Montreal!
I think we were all excited to get back to Montreal, and for good reason, it was like we never left. I was pretty nervous to go back after 14 months, but there really was no reason for me to be. As soon as we arrived at June & Mike's house, Arabella and Christopher started playing just like they saw each other yesterday. We all fell right back into things - I guess that is what true and real friendship is about - it won't change and it stays constant.
We were so happy to see everyone again and we packed a lot into our 10 day visit. Arabella and Christopher and Max played outside as soon as they woke up. (The weather was such a welcome relief from the heat and humidity of the South.)
It didn't take too long to start the party. In typical June fashion, we had mimosas with this for breakfast!
The guys went and played golf and the June, Laura and I took the kids out to breakfast. Arabella was thrilled to be with Christopher, Emily and Allison. We had a delicious breakfast...I forgot how much I love Montreal food!
We had so much fun, and looking at the pictures on the memory card, I think it would be better that I break up the entries instead of trying to cram it into one big huge entry! So stay tuned for more Montreal...
