Special Celebrations

Last Saturday, I spent the afternoon and evening with a pretty amazing group of women.  We were celebrating June's 40th Birthday and my Going Away Party (I know that isn't usually cause for celebration, but we were celebrating the bonds we have formed in 3 short years.)

We started by hitting the Gap & Banana Republic outlets.  We helped June pick out a whole new wardrobe and took over the dressing rooms for a fashion show.  We had so much fun, laughing, and being silly and just being together.

You can see we did a bit of damage, but in our defense, they were having a huge sale plus we had 40% off your total purchase coupons!

After shopping, we went to get ready to have dinner.  We got dressed up, did each others hair and make up, and had a few drinks and appetizers before heading out.

Cynthia and yummy sparkling wine!

Before we left for dinner, the girls gave me 3 charms for my Pandora bracelet.  One for my zen, one representing butterflies and our friendship and they other with pink hearts for the time together we will always hold in our hearts.  It was so emotional for me to get such beautiful reminders of our friendship.  They totally made me cry.

We are all so close that it was a bit hard for all of us.  I just know am looking at these pictures for the first time since last Saturday and I am now truly seeing through the pictures how much we care for and love one another.  These women are like the sisters I never had.

Once we pulled it together, we headed to Fabio's in Hudson for a yummy Italian dinner.  We enjoyed our meals and great conversation.

After dinner and a bit of drama, enjoyed some giggles and Carrie's cheesecake.  It was the perfect way to spend one of my final days here.  Thank you Jay and Lori for giving me the chance to have this much need girl time.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day has never been a big holiday for me.  It consisted mainly of just wearing something green to school and that is just due to the fact that I have not a drop of Irish in me.  Jay has a tiny bit...or so he has been told.  But still we don't really do any official celebrating.  Arabella wore green to school  and had to bring a green snack.  She had fun making her clover hat and doing the Irish jig at school.  Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Imagination

The other day, Arabella was playing with all her horses in the play room.  She called Lori and I to come see the baby foal being born.  Boy is she accurate.  And I especially love the audience surrounding the mama horse.

Last Swim Lesson in Pointe Claire

Arabella had her last swim lesson at the Pointe Claire pool a few weeks ago.  She has become such a strong, confident little swimmer.  She loves the pool and is already asking for diving lessons.  On her last class they did a few fun activities...one is a swing over the water.  She loves it, but the American girl in me is like "That would never fly in the US!"  Max was so alert watching all the action at the pool.  We sure will miss her swim lessons.

3rd Annual Trip to Butterflies Go Free

For the 3rd year, we have attended the Butterflies Go Free exhibit at the Montreal Botanical Gardens.  And each year, it is still amazing to see such beautiful creatures flying all around.  The kids and adults are in awe of such a special sight.  We have been so fortunate to attend such a magical and special event each year.  Arabella was so excited to go again this year and was hoping for a butterfly to land on her...and land they did.  It is like she is a butterfly whisperer, they wouldn't stay away from her or Max.

It didn't take Arabella too long before she spotted a pretty butterfly.

There were so many beautiful butterflies.  Some that we had not seen in prior visits.

It was a beautiful day!  I am so lucky that we had the chance to do it one more time before leaving Montreal!
