Last weekend, Arabella and I gave Jay an afternoon to himself and joined Ronald and Bram at the McMaze near Cornwall, Ontario. We had never been before and Arabella loved it. They had many different outdoor activities for the kids - animals, pony rides, mazes, a haunted trail/walk, pumpkin patch, corn maze and more - nothing like an afternoon in the fresh air. It was overcast and cool, but we still had a lot of fun. We picked out a few more pumpkins to carve and a bale of hay to decorate with. McMaze is open all year round and it might be fun to go in the winter when there is snow for sleigh rides!

Box from Nana
Nana was in France for a few months and while she was there, she sent Arabella a box of goodies. The box was really banged up nothing inside was damaged. She was excited for the sun hats. She had fun checking out the snail shells and really big pine cones too!
Fuzzy Friend
Walking home from school one day, Arabella and I found a fuzzy caterpillar in the street. We decided to take him home with us and make him a habitat. He now lives outside our backdoor in a nice and cozy habitat and he seems very happy!
Trip to Ottawa
Earlier this month, Arabella and I decided to join Jay on a trip to Ottawa. It was a quick overnight trip during the week, but fun nonetheless. Jay dropped Arabella and I off at the Canadian Museum of Science and Technology and then he headed off to his meeting at the dealer. We had fun exploring the museum all afternoon (some of the exhibits were a little advanced for Arabella, but she still had fun checking things out) - and were worn out by the time Jay came back to get us!
Checking out a snow plow.
Learning about leaders in Canadian science and technology.
And exhibit on the Titanic.
Checking out the canoe exhibit.
There was a really neat exhibits on cars.
I think she liked the train exhibit the best. It was a huge room filled with full size trains!
Look how little she looks next to the huge trains!
Trying out the real, working periscope!
Once Jay picked us up, we checked out the train and rocket that was outside before it got to chilly!
Our hotel was nice, but the room was a little odd...like the really big clock on the kitchen wall but the tiny stove...
or the one legged sink in the bathroom...
We stayed in a fun area with little stores and bakeries. We found so really yummy cookies and Arabella was excited to get a Hello Kitty cookie!
The next morning we had a very good breakfast and then hit the road to get home in time for school for Arabella. We got very silly in the car on the ride home which was a lot of fun!
Thanks for letting us tag along Jay, we had a very fun time!!
